OK, I expected the Rand to depreciate but I never expected by this much so soon!
I'm busy getting an up to date graph to post on the blog to illustrate its fall.
The Rand plunged to almost 17% to R10.8615/$, the worst level since August 2002.
I have also been asked by a lot of my clients how safe is our money in local banks? I don't know and there have been a few rumours floating around lately. To be safe I suggest you look at diversification, don't "put all your eggs in one basket" spread your money around.
