COMING UP THIS WEEK
A bunch of local economic data updates as the months change: Monday we had the December credit and money supply numbers from the SA Reserve Bank, and the year-end trade numbers from SARS.
Today is the release of the Kagiso Purchasing Managers Index for January, and Wednesday the new vehicle sales for the first month of 2011 from NAAMSA.
Further afield, the African Union meeting in Addis Ababa finishes on Monday; and interest rate decisions are expected from the Reserve Bank of Australia (Tuesday), from the Central Bank of Iceland (Wednesday) and from the European Central Bank on Thursday.
