Hedge Fund Manager Herman Pretorius Kills Jullian Williams and Himself


The chief executive of private-equity group Basileus Capital, Julian Williams, has been shot dead, allegedly by business associate Herman Pretorius in his Cape Town office.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer November Filander, says 37-year-old Williams and Pretorius, had a meeting on the third floor yesterday during which the incident occured. It is alleged that Pretorius then turned the gun on himself.
In Limpopo police are investigating after a police constable attached to the Makhado police station allegedly shot and killed a person in Louis Trichardt town. Police spokesperson Maano Sadiki says on-duty police officers were patrolling when the alleged shooting happened.
Sadiki says the deceased person allegedly confronted police officers and tried to grab a firearm from one of the officers, when the incident happened. Sadiki says the police officer has not yet been arrested pending investigations.
